been thinking a lot about those things- why they're often difficult to write (correction- to send?), and more often than not, difficult to receive without ambivalence. it seems that this kind of correspondence exists most often in the wake of absence (though i hope every one has received their share of sweet written words from lovahs so close that their coffee breath can be mistaken for one's own). but perhaps that's not the case, and letters are wistfully but warmly digested in different time zones . . . and while expressing adoration, desire and very real love- the synthesis of such prose can feel like inhaling a thick smog- an aching, angry longing, and a very real realization that, they are just words.
but i so totally love em. i'd for sure rather ache than not.
